Local places that stock large variety of nuts and bolts?

It seems every winter i find myself looking for a few odd nuts/bolts/plugs. this year is just like the previous ones. I went to Tru Value and a Ace on Watertown plank and Pilgrim rd In Elm grove without much luck.

I can find the pieces i need online but they all require me to order 10-20 of them, and i only need one. So where is a good place to check?

1. M16x1.50 Set screw
2. M10x1.25 bolt (only 10mm long)

These 2 bolts online are looking to be about $24+shipping which is unreal anyplace local might have them?

Liz, what is the 16x1.50 for and how many you need. I might have that. As far as the 10x1.25 just buy ones and cut or grind them down. Put a nut on them to the length you need and cut/grind to size and remove the nut.

Keith - It's to block the factory JDM 2JZ-GTE IAT sensor location instead of just leaving the factory sensor in place and having the AEM one in the intercooler piping. And i just need one.

The above hardware stores are great, Fastenal is fine for soft zinc coated bolts.

Fabco (Cat dealer) on Silver Spring next to Silk has AWESOME phosphate grade 8 and M9 bolts on hand.
More expensive but these are the best fasteners you can buy next to ordering from ARP online.

Yeah i thought i saw that too, but the JDM intake manifold IAT uses a M16x1.50 and the AEM sensor uses a 3/8 NPT

They make a sensor fitting for those. It would be a 16x1.5-3/8 npt. They will have it at Pegasus. I have got them from them before. I took a look and I don't have a plug in 16mm. 14 and 18,20 is all I have. Stop up at Pegasus with the org IAT and the AEM one just to make sure u get the right one that will allow the sensor to sit in the mani to get the proper reading. Sorry I didn't have what u needed but I hope I helped with the info.

Liz, you never need just one. I have started ordering bags of hardware off of ebay with common sizes for this reason. Saves a bundle in the long run.
