Discounts on rental cars?

I've been doing the typical kayak/expedia/travelocity looks ups for car rentals.

Where are you guys finding the best options? Couple friends are looking to head out to Vail in late Feb and trying to find a good price on a truck for the week.

What "discounts" have you used? Like AARP has discounts for the old folks, is there anything else someone is apart of that can be used in the discount code lines for some of these sites?

I think some companies get discounts if you ask otherwise there is always the AAA discount. Mayfair rental on silver spring has always given me a great rate (friends of Coop and Justin) but that is for a local rental.

One thing I did find as a "discount"

Enterprise Rental (pretty much any rental firm)

Vehicle - Tahoe or other Large SUV

Airport Location - $1500/week after fees

20min south of airport location - $500/week after fees

That's pretty fucking amazing of a difference
