Pretty much what the title says. Looking for a good gun safe. Would like a 20 gun safe. Or even where I could find a used one.

I got one very similar to this one, either 24-28 I cant remember, for $589 or something at Dunhams.

ps If it says it will hold 24, it won't, 24 long guns won't line up right in their slots with normal sized guns so get biggest one you can. some examples- the corners are too tight for 2 guns to use both slots, any scoped or pistol gripped gun will take away space from opposite side by hanging out into the middle too far.

Yeah my dad has one that will hold like 24 supposedly and it definitely will not.

I like the dehumidifier option on the one you posted the link to. No matter how oiled I keep the guns and how many dissecant packets I thrown in the safe, I still seem to get some surface rust from time to time. And that safe is on my main floor of my house.

Yeah I am new to this safe thing. Going off what my father in law has been telling me also. In the last couple years I have first started buying guns. So it is time to get them locked up.

The inside the dimension for the one i want is only 12 inches. That blows.

I watched Craigslist until I found a super cool giant safe from the 1900's. Is was owned by former Governor of Wisconsin Schreiber way back, has lettering on the front for a construction company the family had. Its pretty cool I just made a wooden insert/racks in there to hold the guns, but if your so inclined there are companys that make stuff you can mount to the inside of safes or doors to hold pistols and rifles pre made you just pop them in there. Some are magnetic even I think so you just stick em to the side.

Regardless, the super cool looking antique safe that is like 6 feet tall by 3 feet wide by 3 feet deep or whatever only set me back $200 plus the hassle to pick it up and move it in (another story for another time lol - I used that S10 I got from Patrick AKA Munchy). I have it in my living room it looks really cool much cooler than an actual gun safe I think!
