History channel had a good show on it today. From the eyes of FDR, and how McAuthur told him that "tails were in the air" which was total bull shit and he took heavy losses in the Philipines when Japan attacked.

My grandfather (god rest his soul) was sent there a few days after to help in clean up and salvage. I was told he had pictures of the carnage but after he died most of his belonings were "lost". And he never talked about, NEVER.
