Glacierhills CU West bend
Scholossmans Dodge City

Gander Mountain I'm unsure of, they have a sign saying all firearms must be checked in at the desk, when I was looking for a new holster she said I had to go out of the store unload it, and bring it back in a case.

Found this on USA Carry

"Hi everyone, I have been on the site for a few months now. I am pretty new to carrying, but wanted to let everyone know that I own 2 Dairy Queen's In West Bend, Wi, and we allow carrying in our two restaurants, and from speaking to most other DQ owners in my general area, they are welcoming carriers into their establishments also. If your ever in the area stop by and say Hello! Before getting my permit I open carried, as it was the only option available to me and have never had a problem with any place that I have gone to in West Bend. Thanks everyone!"

You may want to talk to a store manager at Gander Mountain about that inccident it doesnt sound like the person you spoke to knew the rules. In the past I know that Open carry and Conceal carry has always been allowed at gander.

I'm not worried about it, I just went to Cabelas and picked it up for 15 bucks less.

I thought they can't limit your ability to keep it in your vehicle though, even if the vehicle is on their property?

Not sure. But if you are on private property I don't see why they can't.

Not sure. But if you are on private property I don't see why they can't.

Reading through it, its really one of those weird exception places thats open to interpretation. They cannot bar me from keeping a firearm in my vehicle while traversing or parking in their parking lot even if they post the property that I can't carry there on my person. But specifically once I enter the car wash itself, is it still a parking/driving area or not? I can't think of many places this would apply in such a way only because there aren't many places you drive into a building. Weird.

My common sense interpretation would say it's ok to keep it in your car while traversing through the car wash, much like a drive through at a restaurant, etc. But then again there are some really weird liberal judges out there. ugh. It'd be interesting to know if anyone ever gets caught with a firearm in their car in a carwash that's posted. I guess until that happens, we won't really get a judges interpretation of this.

Signs have been up on our building at work for like a month ago. "no firearms or weapons allowed in this building" I informed my boss I had knives and a great many other things in my toolbox and I need a written definition of a weapon as to not be in violation of work rules. He wasn't impressed.

Shooter Shop on 84th St in West Allis still had their sign about no uncased weapons allowed when I went there last week. That's ok, their range sucks and is $20 now. I was also getting hit with small bits of metal. Either the guy by me was shaving lead, or bullet fragments were bouncing back. I know it wasn't me, I was loading mags and wasn't shooting at the time. And most of their prices are way too high.

BP station on 92/ Cleveland is posted, of course you don't know it until you go to the door. So if you pay at the pump they still get you're money. Not mine anymore.

True dat. When I bought my 4003 from them, it was like I was bothering them when I wanted to picked it up after the 2 day wait. They won't have to worry about me bothering them like that again, they get no more of my money. Its not like I was a tire kicker, I was picking up a gun I BOUGHT from them.

BTW I didn't see any postings at Fletcher's, and they're nicer there anyway, and have better prices.

Hodag Pawn and Gun in Rhinelander, not gun friendly.....very surprising.
Was in Wausau today, Kohl's, F/F, Best Buy, Hardees, and the Dollar Store all gun friendly.

Yesterday was in a gun friendly jewlery store, that was kind of a weird feeling, but I may have picked up a hand gun sale from the owner.

I gotta say of all the places I've carried I felt wrong carrying into my bank the other day. They were not posted and when I went in I asked the teller just to be sure. She says, "Why do you have a gun on you?" I simply smiled and said I didn't think I should answer that. Turns out Chase bank is gun friendly.

Fun little website to report, and view any places that do not allow ccw.

http://wisconsingunowners.org/dont-buy-list/

About halfway down that page it has a PDF file with the current locations that to not allow, organized by city. Apparently they are going to be writing letters to these places and posting signs everywhere to convince people not to shop there until the no weapons signs are removed....

Interesting idea, probably not that realistic though to be honest.

I believe they're wrong about Associated bank, they said in the paper they weren't going to post and I haven't seen either of the locations I've been to posted.

Saw they had the Bob and rocco gun show, but not Shooters shop.

I can't believe that someone asked if it was ok to carry in their bank. Pretty impressive that the teller didn't freak out right on the spot. How would you react if you were working at a bank and someone walked in and asked you if it was ok if you had a gun? I honestly couldn't answer that. Some theives look the part, others are just the normal guy thats why they get away with it. I would never walk into a place if I wasn't 100% on whether or not I could be carrying, much less ask, at a bank...

Greenfield Buick GMC on hwy 100 is posted. I am working on getting contact information to e-mail and complain. There is no large sign that can be seen if you are pulling into the service drive just 5x7 signs on the man doors. This could possible get a law abiding person in trouble if they enter the service drive and the firearm happens to become visible. I am just glad I decided to go all sheep like and not carry.

Newsflash to these business owners - Criminals don't care about signs!

All this is doing is opening them up to a whole bunch of legal issues if some dickbag comes in there and mows the place over but the law-abiding people couldn't defend themselves.

I was in the Waterstone Bank on State st about a month ago to close out an account I had. I closed it in cash and the banker asked if I wanted him to call the security officer to walk me to my vehicle. I thanked her but said no, I had the second amendment protecting me. She laughed and smiled and said she would see me next time. IMO everyone seems like having a gun in the bank is weird, but I think the tellers appreciate having the person with the gun on their side of things. My gf was a guaranty employee and was scared because so many of the other branches had gotten robbed.

Stone Creek Coffee in Delafield. Posted: "Make Coffee not War - No Concealed Weapons".

I always buy my ground coffee there. I'm a regular customer.
Just as I opened the door to walk in the guy behind the counter said hi to me. I glanced down and saw the sign. I looked up to the guy behind the counter and said, "You just lost a customer" and pointed to the sign and walked back to my car.
Now I have to find another supply of good coffee.
