I have a guy wants to trade a car I have up for sale for a 1986 Porsche 944 non turbo car. car is really clean looking, dent on the driver quarter. Nice wheels, needs tires and windshield is cracked. Runs and drives. Driver seat needs to be redone, dash is near perfect. Dont know much about the cars. I know they are the poor mans Porsche, my question is what are they worth? What could I sell it for say in spring time with the quarter fixed, maybe some tires and a windshield? Anything I should look for or ask about? Red with black (I think) interior, moon roof.

6 grand if it is CHERRY... and its not, so... 3-4K would be the most I'd pay.

I'd be into it less than that. I looked at the cl ones listed, but didnt really know what to compare or what to look for.

Then it sounds like you'd be doing OK. I'd just be careful that its not a mechanical mess, because then you'll end up upside down in a BIG hurry.

I dunno I've heard mix about those things. I'd stay away.

Unless you're turning it into a race car then it's ok. :D

They eat head gaskets if pushed hard.

electrical messes. I wouldn't touch an 80s Porsche. If it doesn't have electrical problems it surely will in another day or two!

I guess I'm looking at it more as something to drive around a bit then sell it to get my money I had in the other car. Not looking at it for a daily driver or something I'd hang onto.
