I'm looking at purchasing a Flip video camera for school. To make a long story short, in order to renew my teaching license, I have to create this formal goal and blah blah blah. Anyways, my goal includes implementing new technology ideas in my classroom and lessons. Part of that goal is creating my own short videos to incorporate into my lessons. We have a few video cameras at school, but they are not the easiest to work with and not always available. A few people have mentioned Flip cameras.

I don't really keep up with electronics very well. So are Flip cameras decent? I have a small budget to use this year and it will cover some of the cost of the camera. The Flip cameras seem pretty cheap for what they are.

Thanks.

Thanks for the offer Coop. It's something my students would probably use, so I am more comfortable getting my own just in case they drop it. (:

So I'd be good with something like this?

I see them pop up on ebay from tiger electronics refurbished to factory specs blah blah blah for around $50 or so. They show up in the daily deals area.

I have had a flip in the past,I recently picked up a Kodak. The kodak has nicer editing software IMO.

I have had one for a bout a year. It's perfect for what you are looking to use it for. Heck I'd use it for my aWingThing vids, but I keep forgetting to bring it on a shoot.
