I would lean to the GTO...good performance, and at least for now, a nice, subduded and mature look.

If I was modding it I would be inclined to go for the cobra, although the vette would be a close call.

04 Cobra, beyond a doubt. The Corvette can't compare, unless you're talking leisure cruising or road racing, and I'm sure the Cobra can hold its own on road racing as well, with the IRS and big brakes it has. I saw plenty of Cobras at the last Road America event I was at.

It does sort of depend on the criteria. If Drag Racing is your top, then the Cobra for sure!!! Very high potential.

The interior, drivetrain and build quality scream GTo but the exterior havent quite done it for me yet. On the other hand the Cobra is hands down the most aggressive looking but the interior feels cheap to me as do the older C5s. Guess I have to take some more test drives. :wow :thumbsup

I don't know if the 04 Cobra is different , but what I like most about the 03 Cobra appearance is how it's mature and stylish, the spoiler is subtle, the front end is subtle, but looks really good. It's aggressive without screaming "Look at me! Look at me!!" They really nailed that one well.

I hate to say it but the Cobra seems to be more in line with what I want. The GTO doesnt have enough power for me and the new ones will be out of my price range and the same goes for the C5 especially since I cant afford a Zoh6

Going with the Cobra. Vettes don't do anything for me looks-wise, same thing with the GTO. If I bought a GTO I'd have to see if the Monaro nose fit cuz I like it more :) . The GTO nose looks to "Grand Prix" to me.

Actually, that's the exact car I was looking at this past week. I was going to trade in the Lightning and hook up the 04 cobra. But after contacting 23 dealers in the midwest that had one, making them compete with each other, and ultimately getting the deal i wanted (1k under invoice), I couldn't pull the trigger and get rid of the L. It's simply an awesome car though, someday maybe I'll buy one to sit next to the L in the garage.

Not sure if you're still associated with venus hitman, I'd have contacted you about it, but I'd never in a million, million years buy another car from there. Oh yeah, punch Dean in the nose for me too eh?

Obviously big#s at the wheels dont mean crap in the 1320 dept i proved that my self, the Z06's are FASTER than the cobra right out of the box with a good driver. Also the vette's IRS is harder to break, it handles better, stops better... And granted it costs about 15K more, at least im getting more carand it doesnt have a gas guzzler tax :rolf

I feel like one of the only ones who commented that did not pick their obvious "brand loyalty"?? I think the poll would be more telling if it had been "What car would you pick out of the 3 if you could not pick one of the same brand as you currently own?" It seems like maybe the votes were simply done by picking whichever car represents your own brand. I have a GMC and a Pontiac, but I chose the 03 Cobra hands down. :confused

If people were voting strictly based on brand loyalty then the majority would have gone with the C5, instead more have picked the Cobra. Personally I like em all I just want the best bang for the buck. For me it is leaning towards the C5 or the GTO.

Bang for the buck? The Cobra all the way... it will handle with the Vette (non Z/O6) and it's the cheapest to get BIG power out of. And as for Tom's contention that they're just dyno-queens like Supras, well he's more than a little biased toward the LS1...;) MM&FF just had a full weight, test Cobra go 10.19 at 142mph. No N2O. Stick axle, full bolt-ons, plus Crower cams and the KB 2.4l blower. 700+RWHP.
