Looking at putting a rear DVD player or Players in the Enclave for the kids... Anyone done this in their vehicle? On the fence about the cheapy universal ones that strap to the front seats or paying the piper and getting the headrest mounted ones... Any advice?

What about a roof/headliner mount one?

Im open to any ideas to execute the job... just obviously dont want to spend a small fortune on it for a custom installed setup if some are finding good luck in cheaper alternatives.

GM Accessories are NOT cheap... $1850 for the kit... UGH

I have roof mounted one that came out of a GMC Envoy if you were interested
I'd give you a good deal on it.
I also have a floor mount DVD player and the 2 connectors to run two screens but I don't know if they work since I haven't tryed to hook it up.

The Envoy one wont fit the Enclave, and it has the second row sunroof too so that makes it more "interesting" as there is a 8 inch spread of headliner between the front and rear sunroofs.

We'll you're welcome to try and see if the dvd player works. Then all you would need to get is the screens

Tom, if you decide to go the factory route, let me know. I will see what it would be at my discount.

Tom did you find any decently priced headrest mounted ones? I've been thinking about this as well, however I'd never put anything permanent in.

my cousins have the "cheapo" ones that you put over the seat, and they work quite well. they're also nice because you can take them out easily so when you are using the vehicle for non child transport, you can remove them. plus they can go into other vehicles easily
