A IRL champ and 2 TIme Indy 500 winner.

He hit the catch fence pole, open part of cockpit first.....It my guess that he was killed instantly, because they covered his car, and everyone was really quiet.

RIP Dan Wheldon This race should have never happened. It was far too risky for the drivers. 34 open wheel cars on a high banked oval = STUPIDITY. Indycar, Go away!
