Why not have 2 tunes? or a flex fuel sensor?

Hah. I knew it. Just couldn't find it!

GTOs didn't get flex fuel. No idea what it'd take to add it but I've been lead to believe the computer can't handle it.

Keeping a laptop handy to flash a tune could be a pain in the ass, but that would be my plan if I was doing a long drive.

Why not have 2 tunes? or a flex fuel sensor? Two tunes is probably the right thing to do and I do have HPT but I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to using it. lol

I'm not expert, but I believe its just a matter of changing the stoich ratios.

Just have who ever tunes you make a 93 octane tune for you and have them show you how to flash back and forth. The only problem that I could see is that your injectors might give you a problem with idling if they are too big for 93. IDK

real tuners use lamda does not change no mater what fuel u use. Larry don't take this the wrong way learn how to use it. save tom's tune so you can always go back to it.

Jim, Here is what the "Stoich" table looks like in HPTuners:

7792

Not sure if thats the only adjustment needed, or if it is just a converted lambda. I believe there is also a fuel selection table too, but I don't know if it is an input or a reference table.

Yeah it's not just that easy to set the stoich point and go. Even at that, the o2's still use 14.7 for their functions even on e85 with the stoich point changes. ESP with huge injectors, a tvs 2300 on top of it with a good helping of boost. It would require a complete rebuild of a tune on 93 to toggle via laptop in 30 sec.

I've always used this website:
http://www.afdc.energy.gov/afdc/locator/stations/

Finds all sorts of alt fuels too, not just E85
