We dont have enough fun picture threads on here as of late so im making one! Lets see some new projects people are working on may it be car/bike/truck/snowmobile/atv etc! Heck even throw in pics of that under construction man cave! The cold is on its way which means project time for us Wisconsin folk :durr

My hopes are to have my Regals facelift done by summer. Making the switch to E-85 and much more. Bigger turbo, FASt comp, Huge fuel system, suspension. No car I have ever owned or built has made it into the 10's. I have driven and wrenched on plenty of my fathers rides but not had one that was all mine. Hopefully this will change next summer :) Still have a good list of parts to go but im nearing the home stretch thank God :devil

Sneak peek of the mock up...Thanks for the Dp KRAUSED, looks right at home. :shades

Work on the white '90. It would be nice to have it rolling again. Storing Adam's other car somewhere else, so I will have garage space this winter. It won't look like this:

Project LT1 BETA:

Finish the restoration of this hell forsaken LT1 car. Been too busy working on everything else to give it much attention. But so far every component of the interior has been out, hand cleaned and reassembled. The correct OBDII PCM back in so that the tach works, 2002 Z28 snow flake wheels, a few new suspension components are all thats done mechanically so far. Also installed a new DS door due to the lock cylinder missing and skin damaged, of course the 1/4 panel doesnt match the rest of the car. This thing will sure get an entire paint job in spring. Looking for a stock hood and bumper cover yet. I have had the mirrors and door handles painted white to match the car and theme of the 2000 + cars. Every removable panel is coming off for cleaning and detailing purposes too, I.E. the door jamb in the pic below was dirty as phuck previously.

The 4L60E has been rebuilt to 4L70E specs now the LT1 must come out to get every gasket replaced and a the underside pressure washed as well as the engine bay. This will be a nearly perfect car when it returns to the streets in spring. If the LT1 power doesnt work out as well as i hope, it will get an LS1 swap along with an LS1 front end.

Dont be fooled, this car was a basket case previously, a pure 50 footer.

Well that expalins why he knows so much about my car......still dont really grasp the secret squirrel bullshit though.......It is not like he was banned...

Anyhow, this is what is planned for my car, a lot of maintenance related upgrades actually...

Spec aluminum flywheel
Steeda Quadrent
adjustable clutch cable (all to improve the life of the king cobra clutch and heavy duity pilot bearing that I had to have done this summer)

Lowering springs
Shocks
Struts
Swaybars
Going to do some autocross next year, and the suspension except for the tierods is all OEM with 104k on them

New 275/40r17 tires and 9" rims for the front

Replace the coils...............either factory or aftermarket.........

As for possible other options:
Get a new catback system (getting rid of the flowmasters) and getting either a Bassani or Magnaflow system

Accufab 70mm tb and plenum

that is about all.........another 2000 or so to the car........

Just going to be making some changes to Liz's 240sx. which is pretty much
- A front brake upgrade (bigger calipers,Powerslot rotors,Hawk pads,stainless lines)
- Installing the rest of the aero that's been sitting in the basement for a year.
- Making some changes to the fuel system (ditching the dual walbro's i believe) and i think cleaning up some wiring and moving some things around
- Installing a lower temp. Thermostat and modifiying the waterneck.
- Repainting and polishing some more of the underhood stuff.
- Fixing some electrical stuff and a few of the little issues from this past year.
- Figuring out the MAPECU2 or maybe ditch it for a true standalone.

nothing major. (compared to last year)

Also will be doing some work to my 240sx. which includes redoing the chassis harness to remove any unneeded wiring and doing a few chassis changes/stock piling of parts.

The list is long and will go beyond winter. Currently doing a black interior swap and adding power windows, power locks, power mirrors, lighted visors, dope light, leather wheel and shifter knob. Gutted it, dynamated it, put carpet padding under the carpet and over the headliner, insulated the C pillars. Almost done, gotta drop the column and finish taking out the grey dash, install some harnesses, put the black dash, console, front seats in and then do the harnesses, regulators, mirrors and door panels. And i gotta cover the rear seat back with a black sheet for tempapermenant since tweed coupe seat backs are unobtainium. All to be crowned with a OEM radio delete plate. I hope to have that done by next week.

Theeennnn I gotta pull the motor, trans and rear end and throw them out. Pull the front clip, gut the engine bay for paint, pretty the underside (maybe), I got some gas tank tricks up my sleeve, make and install new fuel lines, rebuild and install the IRS, new k-member, do the stereo, put the front suspension in it. When all that's done I'm gonna push it across the street to the body shop and have the engine bay painted. I think that should take me into spring.

And the other day I put in some headlights. They look kinda stupid so they will be getting replaced with new OEM style lights. BLING BLING!!

Hey Flick, if your removing the two ports on the upper water pipe drill and tap for 1/2-20. Then run to a True Value and get two plugs in that size, they have a alen head. Then use red locktite. Works great and doesnt leak. Easier then trying to put weld inside the holes.

I'm shopping for either a procharger, magnacharger, or a cam package, midpipes w/ cutouts, and possibly a FAST. If I get as far as the intake, I'll probably be converting to E85.

no way in hell can I afford to pay retail for either blower... I have the fuel pump upgrade on the way so I'll be prepped for any of them soon. I'm just very torn which way I want to go with it, because if I go cammed, it'll be more cam than a blower can take, and that will be the end of any boost in this guys near future. Either way I'll do the install myself, the only thing I'm scared of is tuning.

Well, we're talking about building/modding cars, and that makes no fiscal sense buying or building. And I have no desire to just go out and buy something that's built/modded. I can't take pride or credit for the work of someone else, just how I am. The red car in the pic I posted is a blank canvas without a flake of rust on it. I enjoy picking out parts, finding parts, the build itself.

And I could come with a list as long as my arm full of things wrong with and that I don't like about it. My black LX had more, better mods than the car you linked. But it had issues, so it had to go.

I can see both sides, buying something ready to go, and building your own. Whatever suits you best. 1988 is one of my favorite years, like the 82 also.

-redoing the entire suspension. full coilovers, tokicos, sectioned housings, billet front adjustable lca and compression rods, billet/shortened steering knuckles, 280z hubs
-swapping in a close ratio trans from an 83 to replace the wide ratio 78.
-ACT clutch/ fidanza flywheel
-rear disc conversion to Mustang GT calipers, cross drilled/slotted/vented rotors
-and maybe a wheel change

Interior is done save for a few details. Black tweed rear seat is in the mail, had the fabric pulled from the foam to save on shipping costs; so when it comes I have to "reupholster" the rear seat back. Gotta find my leather shift knob, swap the steering wheel out and plug the radio in. My delete plate idea wasn't gonna work, but the radio is only gonna be there for looks. Stuffed 6 1/2's in the doors and got them under the factory grilles. Gutted the factory dash speakers and mounted tweeters on their bases. Lost a coat hook, I gotta do some digging around and find one I pulled from my hatch. Everything work except for the drivers side lighted visor, I think that's in the visor itself; and the power lumbar on the seats; the plugs are different. I will fix these things in time, I'm kinda anal about wanting everything to work. My Labor Day weekend project has ran a little longer than planed, but I'm super happy with the results. Haven't done a big project in a while, forgot how good it feels to finish up.

[QUOTE=BAD LS1;718965]it WAS a pile of fuck IMHO yes. But i have some high expectations of the cars i own though, so it gets a new lease on life.

Pure 50 footer LMAO! Thats good stuff. IMHO your out of your mind...

Still recovery from back surgery so starting off my list slowly. Fixed door latch and linkage yesterday. Tonight started replacing the strut rod bushings. That is #2 of about 25 things on my to do list.

Thanks! It's vinyl, actually. But it does match the factory stuff perfect. It was $15 for the material, and like $13 for staples and a staple gun. Sold these two deletes for $30, I'll get at least that for two good black map pockets I have and i have plenty more material left to do two more deletes for myself. So I'm gonna make money, get deletes, some one else gets deletes, and some one gets nice map pockets. Everybody wins!

Bought a bunch of stuff over winter just gotta find some time to get it all installed:

- New oil cooler (will go in the back driver side with the engine) just because of all of the oiling things that plagued the car last year. Just gonna replace everything oil related.
http://www.murlynna.com/pics/Lotus/winter2011/IMAG1118.jpg

- New primary fuel pump (walbro 255) to make sure surge tank stays full with new found power
http://www.murlynna.com/pics/Lotus/winter2011/IMAG1117.jpg

- Fiberglass front splitter (black), cause ricer and helps with front downforce
http://www.murlynna.com/pics/Lotus/winter2011/IMAG1114.jpg

- Carbon fiber side scoops, cause ricer and helps with engine temps and IAT temps
http://www.murlynna.com/pics/Lotus/winter2011/IMAG1116.jpg

- New DBA4000 rotors and carbotech xp8/10 pads all around (also thinking of picking up some street pads), cause I will be on track this year!
[Not purchased yet :( ]

- Brand New 2008+ Elise/Exige dash for black dash conversion, cause ricer and because with some electronic wizardry it allows me to display important data (AFR, knock, etc) right on the LCD portion of the dash. OEM look FTW! Also has progressive shift light instead of just a single LED like my 2006 dash has.

Seperate unrelated to car thing:
- Had baby, cause vacations can get your wife pregnant :) !
