a place to have a flywheel re-surfaced (for 93 RX7 if that makes a difference)

how much should that cost anyway?

Go with a new billet....

Aggressive clutches DO NOT play well with stock cast flywheels, im fiding out the hardway

Is it a stepped flywheel? Should cost around $35-$45 for resurfacing.

Just make sure the FW doesn't have any cracks (heat stress). Any of the below machine shops check it out for you.

IIRC you bought an ACT clutch kit? Street disc?

I've used most of the below, Allis Machine dozens of times:

Is it a stepped flywheel?

gosh I wish I knew what that means. I still have to pull it off. Inspect it. If need be I'll get a new one. I just didnt want to spend more money if I didnt have too.

I still have to spend about a grand on engine management (which I HAVE TO with the mods I will be running) car will lean out running a DP/MP/Catback

ohh BTW, I picked up a catback finally. I got it off the RX7 board for $200 (retail is 440).

Its still new/never installed. Not exactly what I wanted but its more than half the cost.

just buy a new billet steel one, they dont warp anywhere near as easy.

Stock ones just http://mindscraps.com/s/contrib/geno/blowjob.gif even if machined...

pettit makes a nice aluminum flywheel(8.5 lbs), seemed to help out on the top end. i do miss 9k rpm and fire out the tailpipe. for an ecu i would just pick up a reprogrammed pettit, m2 etc for around 400. the power fc is nice, but just like any other standalone you can take steps backwards very easily. with seperate leading and trailing maps it can get very confusing to say the least. the nearest place that i would trust tuning one for me would be a spec in illinois.
