With the time I spent building the interior I dont want to scratch the hell out of it:

Goof off and lift off are not even pissing off the 2yr old sun baked tape from the interior that was 100% masked off previously. What is your preffered solvent for disolving tape?

3M general adhesive remover works well.

unless you use something that will completely disolve the tape, youre at least going to have to peel off what you can get with your thumb nail.

This stuff works awesome for removing stickers and labels. It's hard to say if it will get 2 year old sun baked tape off though since I never tried it on that. https://www.stoneronline.com/Content/94213CSTON01.html

X2 for the 3M liquid remover. Or you can use the remover for decals that goes on the drill. Its rubber so it wont scratch. link (http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/Marine/Home/Products/Catalog/?PC_7_RJH9U5230GE3E02LECIE20S4K7_nid=BZVN4V5PK4beR J5GMFSMV0gl)

I have had good luck with De-Solv-It Pro Contractor solvent. Use it at the hardware store all the time. Not super harsh, one of the few solvents I have found that removes caulk.

I had already heat gunned the bulk of it off, ended up using Zinsser comercial paint stripper just to loosen this stuff, never seen anything so stubborn! Downside is I had to use Scotchbrite pads to remove the stuborn residue, mineral spirits and paint thinners would not budge the stuff so Im gonna polish the alum or paint over all my hard work :(

Up side is im gonna paint the interior and start assembly soon, pics will be impressive of the stand alone electronics and my home made CF dash with gauges :)

3M Adhesive remover. If you're going to be using it for an extended period of time make sure you wear gloves.

3M makes scrubbing pads that are not abrasive that look like Scotch-brite pads. They work fairly well but they clog up with adhesive quickly. However, they're cheap. The ones used for washing dishes are almost as good and are even cheaper.

An electric random-orbital sander (I like the Bosch one for ~$80) with 400 grit then 600 grit sandpaper will clean up the aluminum. Hook it up to a vacuum because breathing aluminum dust will make you feel like shit. A decent aluminum polish with a synthetic bonnet on a dual-action air sander will polish it up after that. Use Windex to clean the aluminum and bonnet frequently.
