Given my category wasn't huge, but the judges gave me a nod since we drove it over 2000 miles (to in, and around Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana)..on ET Streets and with no rear brakes...Which is another story.
I'll take any award I can get.

Grats! See you got the wheel width/offset figured out. What happened with rear brakes?

Grats! See you got the wheel width/offset figured out. What happened with rear brakes?

The new wheels have a slightly smaller inner diameter near the mounting surface. The OD of the rear drums was about 1/4" too large, basically the VERY outer ring on the drums needs to be machined off to fit. I did talk to the guys at Wilwood and they said they offer an 11" disc brake setup with e-brake that they could make fit. They don't generally make the tiny setups for 5x5 (mostly the newer 4.75 pattern) but were willing to do it at no extra cost if we could get it to work. I need to figure that out soon.

As for the competition, they are scattered in the LS pictures thread. I got lucky because despite the number of trucks, the only ones that were actually cool were Sponsor Trucks, who weren't allowed to win awards. There were a few 69-72 body style trucks, an old 34 pickup (they changed him to streetrod class), and a few more. There were also some older trucks that ran at the drag even on saturday. I don't have full coverage of that part, since we left for Nashville to party one day. The drag event cars weren't allowed to compete unless they registered for both, so again I got lucky since there was a few more that couldn't score against me haha.

Awesome, cool truck.... any trouble fitting that LS under that hood?

I dynoed 366 at the wheels up at WBD on the cam only; this was a different dyno (can't remember but it wasn't a mustang) with the bigger/heavier rear wheels. I think the final number was 352. Despite the extra drivetrain loss, the new tires make a HUGE difference in take off.
