View Full Version : IROC rear spoiler removal?

trying to take off the two end pieces of the rear spoiler off a 3rd gen. Got the two side nuts off but cant get anything in to take the top nut off. Wrench doesnt have enough room to turn (not that I can get the right angle to get on it) and cant get a 1/4" drive socket on it with the ratchet. Any suggestions?

Take the tail lights out and you will see that there is a plastic plug that is probably about 2" in diameter on the inside of the hatch jam. Take out the plug and you will have easy access to the nut you are trying to get at. Do this for both sides.

After getting that plug out, there is a big hole that you can use a socket with an extension.

No problem. Are you restoring the car? If so, it would be cool if you posted some pictures. I love seeing that stuff!
