Trying to find a platform bed, futon, desk and some sort of stand up closets. Its for my sister and she is on a budget so nothing expensive. Before I settle on walmart or target, I wanted to know if anyone knows of outlet or bargain type places for cheap furniture. thanks!

Check out Ikea.com they have some nice stuff and good deals, but I'll pass on a lot of things there also.

cash n carry in west bend is decent, but no charge cards, and very little help from them (its what they advertise).

Sometimes Odd Lot! has furniture on the cheap. I would check out thrift stores. Also if getting a futon (you don't want to know what they're called at college), don't skimp. Buy the best you can get your hands on. They by nature tend to be basic cheapness in build. A mattress set and a hollywood frame would be better.

Garage Sales and Family Sharing! Then get a can of paint and let them customize it!

Ikea is high quality, Pottery Barn is absolute crap (Sweeden vs. China...go figure).

lol, I know Ikea is not high quality and in alot of cases not that cheap either. The only one I have ever been to has been on the east coast and it was a zoo trying to get through it so I dont have much desire to go through that again. I realize we are looking for cheap but I dont want used dirty junk either.

I'm all about buying used shit, but these days i wouldn't touch used furniture. Bed bugs creep me out.

Check out Ashley Furniture in Brookfield (160th or so and Bluemound) they have a lot of good package deals that include beds, box and mattress, nightstands, dressers etc.

Maybe check out American or Colders "scratch and dent" areas? I've found some nice items there for a pretty decent price in the past.

I use PM due to their 18mo finance specials and high quality products. I have had good success with JCPenny furniture outlet on Burleigh (some minor touch-up required, but otherwise good stuff). I have also successfully purchased from BuiltRite (just before they moved to their "new" location). I also use Steinhaufels for the occassional crazy lamp or style type accessories.

Yoosof,

Liz and I are moving in together on Saturday. The new place has a computer desk/area built in to the walls, so she no longer needs her current one. I can ask what she plans to do with it and we could probably just give it to you. Good condition, light color wood. It is her's though so i will ask before promising, but you could get it this weekend even(just down in Tosa)

Kind of looks like this, just not as "fancy" and without the door where the computer tower goes.
