Last night i was looking back at some older threads and saw some s/n i never see anymore.

anyone know what happened to

Berrettaspeed?
Flight_740?

what about the red cobra that was on Hwy with "parlyzr" on the plate?

i'm sure there are more people/cars that havent been seen in years.

"parlyzr" i believe was Marv.

Always was a great guy. I believed he moved out of state years back. I had seen him one time when he visited, but that was years ago.

Flight_740 was the guy that worked at Merit Motorcars I believe. Thought I remember him having a difference in opinion with how the store should be run and then got a new/better job.

Not 100% on this, maybe others have more input.

I can remember seeing that car around for at least ten years, i don't think it's ever had a hood.

Marv aka parlyzer sold that car I believe when he moved out of state or shortly thereafter. Merit motorcars got sold a short while after Mike left there iirc. I thought the black SS with dubs got sold after the owner moved too.

Tom was "DUBS"

I rode with him down to Bowling Green, KY for an f-body meet back in early 2000's. We followed Dan and Jacki down there(y2kws6). had a great time, we even won the scavenger hunt they had everyone do, haha.

As much fun as we made about the 20's on the car, he still raced it(blew the rear end up at GLD one day on spray,, hahah) he was still a decent guy. He worked at Delphi and knew Lekan(another missing icon :) ) and Marv. One Delphi went out, I think alot of the guys moved or got better jobs.

i know once was at the track. Then I remember him taking it to Horter Chevrolet and having to hide all the nitrous lines since he didn't want to rip it out. They still found them and denied the warranty, haha.

He might have done it on the dyno too. I am pretty sure the car got sold after that.

Also, how about Chad from Horter? He was always helpful

Also Brandon(dark blue Z28)

I did just see Brandon(BestBuy) the other day at the Mayfair location.

Jake is still around, just out of the scene. He still owns his old talon, but it was converted to RWD, or atleast in the process for the last several years. He is still big into off-roading and mud truck stuff. He lives West of North Prairie.

James (TheRX7Project) may still talk to Berrettaspeed... but I'm not too sure what happened with him.

Shame he isn't still active on here. It was a unique car and pretty quick (especially for years ago).

Mike's car has issues. He got it "tuned" with a bad valvespring, which he knew about... AFAIK the car is not running right now. But I can't say much because neither is my junk :goof

Yup that was Jake. The original shop was on state street and about 62nd. There was a main fix it shop in front and he rented the back two rooms. He then moved to a place in Butler around 130th and north of capitol. It was a much bigger place.

I used to be REALLY good friends with Jake, and it is killing me that I can't remember the name of the guy that owned that truck... not even his nick name. In any case he was a really nice guy and the truck was really cool. It was a yellow c10 with lightly built low compression 350 (unsure of head/cam package) and twin journal bearing PTE 50-trim t3/t4s (which were very popular at the time), and a air-to-air front mount. IIRC it was running about 7psi to keep the transmission from grenading.

Nope, not there yet. Just making an observation about what was "said" and not what the truth was (his story was proven false).

Funny how it is ok for some people to bring some things up but not others. I didn't say anything directly about anything, Therefore, it is not a personal attack (which others seem to get away with) and is not violating any rules.

I don't get pissy when teenseeker gets brought up. I just hate his guts. I have no intention of keeping that one a secret. As far as the sc goes, people will think what they want. I don't really give a shit any more.

I was thinking more about it... I'm 90% sure it was Dave Bowman that owns the truck. More sure of the last name than the first since everyone referred to him by his last name.
Jake Gill is the one you are thinking about with the white s13 KA-T. He was NOT the owner of the truck, although all of us were friends.
Jessie owned a purple 1G Talon TSI AWD. He is still around and I talk to him once in a blue moon, he has a early (maybe mid) 2000s BMW 325 now.

Sean was a REALLY cool guy. He was actually the one that owned the white automatic 1G eclipse GSX. The one that had basically the whole drivetrain "stolen" (still not sure about what happened there, I heard some nasty rumors).
