Hi I have a 14" freshwater irradesent shark that needs a new home. Had him for several years and he's just to big for my tank. I'm willing to give him away to a better home. Right now he is in a 155 tall and he needs quite a bit more space to swim. I do not know if it is a male or female but ill refer to him as a he. His name is bubbles. Lol. Ok seriously though, free to a good home with no teethed fish or otherwise aggressive fish and a 200 or more gallon tank. I will come to your house and view your tank before giving him to you so don't try and bs me. he eats pellets prefers sinking but will come to the top, very peacefull and active currently housed with neon tetras so yes he's friendly.

oh man I hope thats not the same kind of shark I have. I only have a 10 gal and the lady said he'd only get to about 3 inches and he's about 5-6 right now.

When they are younger they generally are dark blue with whiteish bellies and lighter blue stripes. I hope its not the same kind too or you'll end up with a 10gal that only requires 1 gallon and the rest will be shark... lol

ok then I think I'm in the clear. Lol yeah that would be quite a mess and I don't think my TV or xbox would appreciate it. I'll have my mom talk to my uncle he's been into into aquariums for as long as I've known and has a huge tank.

Is yours a red-tailed shark?

I think so it has a red tail but when I bought it there was no labels or anything for it, I tried to get another and they don't even know what I'm talking about.

No unfortunatly 155gs isn't enough for this guy and I'm beginning to feel bad for him. Bump ttt for an awesome fish at an even awesomer price. On a side not my light went bad so if anyone has a 4' flourescent light fixture for free (ya... I'm broke at the moment) let me know!

The zoo no longer accepts open donation of animals. The shedd aquariumg is a thought though ill have to check that out for sure. Cabelas doesn't accept fish either

wow...out of curiosity just read up on these things. In the wild they can grow to 4 ft and weigh almost a 100lbs!

Wish my tank was bigger, would be a cool addition to my super gold fish and turtles. My tank is 125, and not full of water so prolly half the room you have him in now.

Haha wow 100lbs.. that's pretty big. Biggest one I've seen was about 2 feet long in captivity.. knowing this makes me feel even worse for him. Bump!

Too bad it's freshwater. I upgraded to a 210 saltwater in the last few weeks, still in the process of setting up though.
