I dont know if you want to buy new tires, but these are great but do not come in the size you stated.

Do you of any place we could go to setup and do some autox this week? I know someone that has cones. As for tires the 555's might be okay but if you don't mind spending money on new ones definately get the Star Specs that Dave linked you to. Just remember that smooth driving is fast driving.

Tires, Tires, Tires...

With your car its probably going to be the biggest differentiator. Also make sure you have some pads with a good COLD friction coefficient. Also go out and make sure your brake bais is on with whatever pads you select. If not put a cheap proportioning valve in. Its gonna be really helpful to get the braking right for that launch box and also for the auto-x

Also try to get the fronts as wide as you can.

If you are serious about buying tires... First put on the 555s in whatever sizes they are. Then go out driving the car and see how it reacts. That will probably lend a hand as to exactly how much stagger the car/you will want.

Very cool.

Mind if I asked when you received notice you were accepted ?

I applied too, and have not heard anything yet.

As for your tire question, I'll be pushing Nitto NT-05s on my 04 cobra. Far cry from years past when I ran 0 rated tires and several of the Vette's (that used to be in our same class) were running Hoosier racing slicks. :)

I've also heard nothing but good things about the star specs. Very likely bay serve you well to tune some power out of it for those purposes...
