So thinking about selling my car. How do you go about valuing it if it is un original. I know it is only as much as someone is willing to pay just looking for a way to ball park it.

NOT A FOR SALE POST, STILL THINKING ABOUT SELLING NOT SERIOUS SELLING YET!!!!

It is a 73 Pontiac LeMans 2 dr coupe
has a 455 out of a 71 bonni that will need some work
Interior is in all original shape with NO tears rips or any sign of wear. The car its self has less the 36,000 on it. Has a recent repaint but I would say its a perfect 15 ft car. Has a turb 350 trans with about 8,000 on a rebuild, and a 1 wheel wonder. Has a complete posi rear and set of bucket seat that will be included with the sale as well as multiple spare parts

Really, you've got to pay attention to those who would want to buy such a car...which is really what makes the internet so great.

Find a board dedicated to the colonnade cars (I would imagine there HAS to be something out there...nothing can be so unloved---hell, NMBLA, national man boy love association was a website for crying out loud!) and pay attention to what similar cars are being advertised at. On Ebay, craigslist, whatever.

Could also try to figure out the value of the individual parts...455's are worth something. Good working and rebuildable Q-jet's has to have a value, a BOP patterned 350TJ has to have a value...the rear, the front brakes/spindles/etc and just kind of add it together and take a little off to make it worth someones while.

I wouldn't call them unloved. They are starting to become wanted and are a good value right now. My suggestion would be to google similar cars for sale and see what the cars go for. I always thought they looked good, never had one though.

I have been trying to find some for sale but they are few and far between. More people took my kind of car to a demo derby then a car show years ago. But I'll keep looking. I thought maybe there was a website out there that offered something like what I was looking for. I went through about 3 pages for a search and said screw it, there's too many. Thanks for the tips though

Here are some listings for contemporary colonnade platform mates, if not the exact cars:

LeMans:
http://motors.shop.ebay.com/Cars-Trucks-/6001/i.html?_dmpt=US_Cars_Trucks&_mqf=0&_qfkw=1&_trksid=p4506.c0.m273&_myi=1973-1977&_fpos=53224-5343&_lsbx=0&_fspt=0&_flso=0&Make=Pontiac&Model=Le%2520Mans

Grand Prix:
http://motors.shop.ebay.com/Cars-Trucks-/6001/i.html?_dmpt=US_Cars_Trucks&_mqf=0&_qfkw=1&_trksid=p4506.c0.m273&_myi=1973-1977&_fpos=53224-5343&_lsbx=0&_fspt=0&_flso=0&Make=Pontiac&Model=Grand%2520Prix

Chevelle:
http://motors.shop.ebay.com/Cars-Trucks-/6001/i.html?_dmpt=US_Cars_Trucks&_mqf=0&_qfkw=1&_trksid=p4506.c0.m273&_myi=1973-1977&_fpos=53224-5343&_lsbx=0&_fspt=0&_flso=0&Make=Chevrolet&Model=Chevelle

Cutlass:
http://motors.shop.ebay.com/Cars-Trucks-/6001/i.html?_dmpt=US_Cars_Trucks&_mqf=0&_qfkw=1&_trksid=p4506.c0.m273&_myi=1973-1977&_fpos=53224-5343&_lsbx=0&_fspt=0&_flso=0&Make=Oldsmobile&Model=Cutlass

Buick Century:
http://motors.shop.ebay.com/Cars-Trucks-/6001/i.html?_dmpt=US_Cars_Trucks&_mqf=0&_qfkw=1&_trksid=p4506.c0.m273&_myi=1973-1977&_fpos=53224-5343&_lsbx=0&_fspt=0&_flso=0&Make=Buick&Model=Century

You can now compare the conditions of the various cars and options to what you have and at least be able to make an educated guess on the potential value of the vehicle and weigh whether or not it's worth it to you to see it go for cash or not.

Hope that helps!
