couldn't help but notice the article failed to mention how Dunn was seen partying pretty hard, and was even tweeting drunken pictures of himself just hours before the crash. If he was indeed driving drunk and killed himself, then he had it coming.

He was one of my favorites on the show, he was in a car going over 100mph at 3am and killed him and his friend in a fiery crash.

I edited this because I haven't seen any confirmation that he was driving.

The 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 or at least that's what was left of it after the rescue crew and fire got done with it.

Edit: I heard it was an 07, may have been a 97. Not sure?

I'm glad there wasn't another vehicle involved. Feel sorry for his family and friends. And the passenger's family and friends.

tragic that someone died but really, I feel bad for the parents that were told their 21yr old died in combat on FATHER's DAY.
"100mph drunk driving vs serving your country"...hmmm, only 1 really tragic sad story imo.

I did like Dunn more than alot of the guys on that show. Strangely, I had a friend who wanted to be him when I was back in highschool. Gave himself the nickname Rhino (Dunn's nickname) and got the same Rhino chest tattoo. Kinda looked like him to start, just got weird. Poor moron is probably devastated right now.

I agree, with the 100 foot tire marks the poor car was obviously trying not to die as well lol.

Not one bit of sadness though, someone could have been driving the opposite way only to get killed by this moron, at least he only took himself and his passenger out!

The guy that was with him? 30 year old Zachary Hartwell, a Navy Seal with 3 tours of Iraq under his belt. Tragic.

Ive been seeing this stuff all over the place. Let me first say I have been hit HARD by drunk driving in my life, losing friends and loved ones through both driving drunk and being hit by drunks. I have zero pity and zero tolerance for anyone driving after even 2 drinks. Lives can change forever literally in an instant because of bad decisions and I have seen it firsthand.

Having said that, the pictures of him partying on the net don't mean much. Ask Cooper how many times Ive had that shitfaced drunken smile on my face without having a drop in me. Even with the picture of him looking fuct up with a drink in his hand doesnt mean he was falling-down drunk, or even buzzed at all. Ive heard reports of 3 beers and 3 shots, and I imagine he has a pretty high tolerance, much higher than mine and after a couple of hours 3 beers and 3 shots wouldn't floor me. I think we all have acted goofy and stupid when hanging out with friends, both drunk and sober. The last Ive heard is Police don't believe alcohol was a factor, but that is coming from the internet so who knows, we'll find out when the toxicology report comes back in 4-6 weeks.

As for the guy with him, IF he was driving drunk, I doubt anyone forced him into that car. He made his own chocie. Let's be realistic. IF they were out partying they were out together and they both made poor decisions together. It just really sucks that they paid the ultimate penalty for their mistake.

Like I said, I'm not trying to justify a drunk driver, I just try and keep an open mind and its not my place to judge people, especially without hearing FACTS.

funny thing is you are comparing yourself a relatively normal person to a CELEBRITY....you know those people that for the most part dont believe laws or rules apply to them.

88Nightmare
06-22-2011, 11:14 AM
impairment starts with one drink, so it doesn't matter your tolerance or how much you've had. If you've had one and get behind the wheel, its one too many.

If my girlfriend and I are out somewhere, if she wants to drink, I drive, and vice versa. If we both drink and I drive and crash, I'd hope no one would feel sorry for me.... I sure wouldn't.

Ryan Dunn had a blood-alcohol content that was more than twice the legal limit for drivers when he and a passenger died in a fiery one-car crash this week, according to a toxicology report.

Hold my beer and watch this... heh.

I just assume the jackass guys do this stuff on a daily basis and have insane luck on an almost daily basis.

88Nightmare
06-22-2011, 03:19 PM
Considering these guys made it their career to be jackasses, how could you think that those tendencies wouldn't carry on throughout their day to day lives, even when cameras aren't infront of them? My only surprise here is that it didn't happen sooner.

Every one of those guys are living with both ends lit. Maybe the rest will tone down now that they see they are not invincible.

when you watch that episode of Minute to Win it, it kind of puts them at an odd juxtaposition. Steve-0 is clean and sober, looking better than he had in a while, and seems to be steering himself in the right direction...Dunn (who was one of the less fucked up guys on that show) couldn't seem to keep his shit together.

On a separate note; I really hope this thread doesn't turn into a "holier than thou" about sobriety behind the wheel.

What he said. Anyone who can even try to justify that action in their head is beyond me. And since I don't (and never have) drink, I CAN say I have never done it.

Eh, drinking and driving and I'm supposed to feel sad? Of course its sucks for anyone to die, but what about the passenger he killed? What if he killed an innocent pedestrian? People would flame the shit out of your everyday joe, but since he had status its ok not to mention he got piss drunk and decided to drive a GT911 at speeds over 100mph. Honestly surprised one of them didn't die sooner, and after all the crazy shit they do, one dies from one of the most idiotic things you can do. Way to go.
