I think I might have a bad injector on my driver side causing a P0175 (Running rich bank2). How can i test an injector to see if it's stuck open? Do I check the resistance with a volt meter? Also does anyone know of a place around here that test them?

Thanks,

Josh

In the past, when I have had a leaky injector I have pulled the whole fuel rail off the intake and then turned the key on to pressurize the rail. If you have a leaky injector you will see fuel dripping thru the injector. Of course this is all dependent on your ability to remove the rail while keeping the fuel lines connected (since you didnt mention what kind of vehicle it is.)

and usually on a lightning,i assuming thats whats up,its lean causing the o2 to go pig rich to compensate, could still be a injector, but not a leaking inj.

Fuel Systems in Brookfield of off Robin Lane and 124th, they have very reasonable prices and turn around is usually a day. (262) 781-4353

Cool thank you. Yes this is the Lightning. I did check all my injectors resistance with a volt meter and all of them are at 12.1. I also checked the volts from the connecting wire and they are 12.4 volts. So the injectors and voltage is there, now I'm thinking one of my COPs or plugs are not getting a good spark.

You're kinda troubleshooting this backwards. Did you replace that oxygen sensor? That's the first thing to check.

fiber optics scope, take spark plug out, turn over engine so intake valve is open, turn on key, look for fuel leaking down the intake port.
