A broken down, hood up, black 03 Mustang Cobra...

Nick broke down and had to have the GM car take his ass home... That's a first right?!

Not really sure. Rolled into the boost in 3rd enjoying the power and then it just went all stock GT on me. Shortly there after there was some RPM dependent ticking which gave me a minor heart attack. Turned out to be the pulley tensioner for the whipple, once taetch cut the belts it ran smooth and nice. Albeit downtuned quiet a bit. Hopefully about $200 in parts and labor and I should be back to terrorize the streets tomorrow. Shoutout to Taetch who ran out to console and help get this thing to Waukesha. Glad my first issue seems to be minor. I'm expecting many very expensive failures in this cars lifespan, such is the way of the beast.

From the looks of it, he picked up something off the road, ripped the belt and lower idler pulley all to hell (see pic, it is ripped in half, but you can see where it bit on something).

The short of it, new belt, pulley and its good to go...

He will have it back Thursday.

Just get some Turbos or one big turbo and you'll never have that problem again. Wait yeah you probably will, it's a fix or repair daily type of car. :)
It is a nice Cobra BTW.

Totally agree. That's why I cringe when you talk about boosting every damn car ever.

Something to be said about a 500rwhp car with OEM reliability. That's winning.

^^^Agreed....but you have to admit (you would know esp) there's a huge adrenaline rush when you hear a car w/ a s/c or t/c hit boost

Boost.........................Then I would need pistons...... and all the other stuff.... OH and a Eaton rear posi unit.... drive shafts...

Na, 121ish in the 1\4 and I'm done (I say that now...). only 5mph to go (hence the bump stick).

LS7 GTO > Cobrah

For reliability, drivability & throttle control.

Boost is really only good for one thing, turning the car into a rolling missile. I tell most people its like driving an explosion. If you get into it, keep your foot down and hold the fuck on.
