First let me set the stage for you. The town that I grew up in had a population of 2100 people, when I graduated in 1985. Today it boasts about 2500. There is no major town or city anywhere near it. (Tulsa is about 80 Mi).
We have a few hot rods but not many.
About 6 years ago they decided to have an annual cruise night. They had about 60 cars. Last night they had over 300, with 8-10000 people in attendance. it was quite a night.
They cops are really cool. They would let you burn the tires so long as you weren't fistailing or really getting crazy with it.
Next year could really be great.
