You really need to know what you're doing though as far as cross referencing and application data for parts. I've had 3 people get 0% so far on the test before the interview. Just being a "car guy" isn't enough.

people no longer know how to use the indices?

If you just needed weekend help sounds like a fun job.

Cross referencing can be a lot more in depth than most people think. What kind of hours are you looking for? Its a pretty flexible gig honestly if you're just looking to pick up some hours.

I am a former counterperson with a few different levels of "parts training" from when I worked for Napa. I also have a degree in graphic design. Depends on the pay and what kind of hours your looking for. Only issue for me would be lifting 70lbs, not that I can't but with 2 fractured spinal discs it is something I try to avoid.

Whats the pay like? If its full time and atleast $12 an hour Ill take a shot at the test.

Small world, the CL link you posted is one of the few I saved in my favorites during two months of searching......

I am very interested. I worked for a car dealer's parts web site for a while so I do have some experience. Could I get some sample questions off the test just so I can get an idea what you are looking for?

My experience has been the more young the boss/manager, the bigger the douche.

To be fair, I never said I wasn't a huge douche.
