Alright, so the girlfriend was supposed to run her marathon this past weekend. Unfortunately she got sick and wasn't able to recover in time. So she registered for another one this coming Sunday.

Unfortunately her Garmin Forerunner 405 watch that is used for GPS/distance/pace/timing/etc... broke. She's able to send it in to get it taken care of, however, it will not be back in time for her race this.

If anyone has something like this, if you were willing to "rent" it for the weekend, I'd be up for paying a bit. I really want her to feel comfortable and she's been traiing so hard for this I want to make sure she's confident and isn't worried so much. There will be pace groups at this event anyways, but I still want her to be happy.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Chris

If no one has one couldn't you buy one from the store, use it once and return it? Just say it wasn't comfortable or it just wasn't what you were hoping for.

It's just a thought, incase nobody is able to help you out.

I have the Garmin 405. I love it. The new 610 is out. It's even better.

For those that dont have one, the software that comes with can do this, plus more.

My sister has one, but she's in Madison.

I got up to 63 mph on skis; that was fun.

Just don't want to go through all that hassle of the store thing. Always had figured that they'd be a restocking fee, kind of like how best buy does with cameras cause they know people use it just once. Don't want to be stuck with "in store credit" then

I see what your saying. I looked at some of the prices and damn are they expensive. I had no idea they were $300-$400
