Does anybody know of any online videos that show how to install rockers? I think I may have goofed something up!

For my Pontiac. I already installed them and drove it for about 300+ miles. Now I have a distinct tapping sound and figured one came loose. So I took the covers off and found a couple are loose. So I am debating a reinstall or just tightening them. They are roller tipped with the locking nuts.

Hey if anyone wants to come and tell me how bad I screwed up I can supply beer and money to teach me !

I think you need to change the rocker studs on a Pontiac to make it an adjustable valvetrain..... I'm not positive on that though. You can try PYonline forum for all the Pontiac info you could ever want

you need the correct studs either use the proper 3/8ths non shouldered stud or do what everyone else does, run the 7/16ths bb chevy stud with the proper lock nut.

If the motor runs you can usually fire the car up with the valve covers off and loosen them 1 by1 until they tick then tighten it back down until the ticking just goes away and lock it. Then move on to the next.

I just tried that and I still keep tightening the same one over and over. I understand their is supposed to be some clatter but this seems louder. Also is there supposed to be play with the rocker. Meaning only a little side to side or can it tilt a little as well?
