Alright, I'm pretty open. I sold the bike a bit back so am looking at a couple things.

'64-72 Cutlass/Skylark/Chevelle/Lemans

'70-'72 Camaro/Transam/Firebird

Biscayne, Bel Air, Catalina, Tempest for the early 60's stuff.

I am totally open to Fords too. A nice galaxie or fairlane or torino would be kinda cool too.

Looking to stay around $6000 and under.

I am not looking for perfect. I am not looking for numbers matching, hell I am not even looking for an SS or a 442 or a GTO, etc....

Just something that could be a nice driver with some work. Have found some ok options through craigslist.

Not really looking to travel more than 75 miles or so since I don't have a truck and trailier to be hauling a long distance.

Anyone know of anything? Long shot yes, but like I said, doesn't have to be 100% perfect. Obviously would prefer good body over good mechanical, but am open.

Chris

If your looking for a good deal Jefferson swap meet is this weekend, and if you bring cash I'm sure you will find a good car at that price!

yeah, got it here ready to go this weekend. sucks because i was supposed to look at something last night but the person never called even when he said he would. got an email this morning saying he was going to jefferson (without the car) and that I could go look at it next weekend. so that leaves me no opportunity to look for parts for it this weekend, haha.

I know where a '65 fleetside short bed is, in nice condition... That is if your willing to enter the world of truckin.

BTW there is a 65 442 for sale on about 66 or 67 and Wisconsin Ave in Tosa. It is at the end of the driveway.

i drive by there all the time, I do not think it's an actual 442 though. I thought it was something different, like what's equivalent to an Impala for Chevy.

Girlfriend lives in that area so I've been driving around there alot.

And yeah right, my dad won't loan me shit, haha.

I am totally open to Fords too. A nice galaxie or fairlane or torino would be kinda cool too.

Do you consider a Ranchero a truck or a car?

Chris. This just made my day. SSDude sent me this today...it's a bit farther than 75 miles away but this has got to be one of the best deals I have seen in awhile for a 389 Poncho (since Wheels' dad's car). This car is super nice and I would think $6k could get this car in your garage. Let's go get it! I would call on it tonight cuz these cars don't last long

Yeah those '62/'63 Catalinas are my absolute favorite cars. Those and the '70/'71 Buick GSX/GS Stage 1 cars.

Am checking into shipping costs for that one

That lemans is pretty cool too, but maybe a bit more work than I really want to do considering the Catalina.

Jefferson was a HUGE let down. We picked up our perfect bodied 70 1/2 Z28 for 3500 with a blown engine, and our perfect body '69 Chevelle with non-original 396, even though it had build sheet proving L78 car, for $5000. Man things have changed in the last decade, haha.
