A friend of mine is coming into town and wants to know if there is a place to rent sports/exotic/musclecars....anyone know of a place local or will he be picking up a car in chicago area?

chicago exotic rentals is closest. Pricey as hell, doubt they will ship a car up here and yup pricey lol.

Holy shit, to rent a Gallardo its $1300/day, which isnt bad at all compared to Gotham Dream cars in Miami (who gets $2400+) but Chicago is $2.50/mile over 75 miles!

yea. and you need to be able to put a huge ass deposit down on a c.c in case you mess the car up

Yeah, I was going to rent one back in 07 when I visited my brother and sister down in Ft. Lauderdale, at the time they wanted a credit card with $15K available plus the $2000 rental fee per day. I really, really wanted to but I just couldn't see spending $2000+ on a single day of fun.

Sent several links out to him...for him it's b/w the masserati, audi R8, and perhaps the gallardo...

The guy makes money, so he's not too worried about deposits/cost/insurance/etc. From the sounds of it, they'll have no qualms about delivering the car to him.

If he ask for any input from me, and I'm spending his money, I might lean toward the gallardo, then the r8, then a 911 turbo, then maserati, followed by the aston, followed by the vette.....

In any event, we've got a friendly bet...whatever he rents up against the little red truck....
