New Toy...

Obviously, and I mean a SERIOUSLY obviously... not mine...

My Dad got rid of his '08 911 Carrera S and I helped sell his two motorcycles. He replaced those toys with this. Let me say that the exhaust on this car is the PERFECT tone out of any car I've ever heard(except for maybe a 160mph+ turbo car at the top end of the 1/4). At idle, at quick blip of the throttle, at WOT, it's just perfect. No raspy, not obnoxious, doesn't sound like a truck. The car drives like a dream. We are taking it and my STI up to Road America May 23rd for a track rental by one of his clients. Should be a great time. Although I think it's gonna scare him, haha. The funny thing we were laughing about is that this thing has about 160hp MORE than the Porsche did, haha.

Nice ride! There was one of these at byron last year running 11.9s @ around 140mph.

Yeah, he'll get rid of it next year for something different. He put 1800 miles on the 911, I think he may put about the same on this thing. It's certified anyways, so no worries for a long time.

11.9's? Haha, I might just have to try it out. The paddle shift on the sport setting or whatever it is, is so much fun! WAAAAY better than the corvette paddle shifter stuff.

I was trying to get him to go CLK63 but those ended in '08 so I don't think any certified stuff was around. In the end, he wanted the convertible ability. Doesn't make sense since we still have my mom's '10 Z4. Just isn't as fast, haha.

Rode in one with the older supercharged v8's....the endless pull of that engine was amazing. Not the fastest stock car i've ridden in, but fun. I've heard that the 6.3's are on a plane all their own...

The AMG 6.3 is one of the best sounding engines ever, the high end dealer across the street from our downtown campus has an SLS, when ever they take it out the V8 sounds is unmistakable, its amazing to hear it reverberating between the buildings. Though I gotta say I like the Alfa 8C sounds better if we're talking high end V8 sounds, I just like its rawness. Slick car though, you should try to get a video or two when you go up to RA. Did he get it through Concours?

Not at Concours. He's bought all the other stuff through there since one of his old employees is actually the BMW General Manager. This one he got out of state. Was a couple grand cheaper and they were willing to give him a couple grand more on the trade in. He drove to pick it up sat. morning and when he got back inthe afternoon it was still shitty out. Felt bad for him, haha.
