I've had a **** load of bad luck within the last 2 weeks, 2 tickets, 1 accident (in the escort), one hood flying up, one timing belt snapping (escort). Hopefully friday the 13th doesn't bring any more bad luck.

Latest ticket was today...my speedo is off by 15 mph after 40 mph :stare , hopefully it gets dropped seeing as how i just got the car and didn't know that the speedo was off.

Hopefully they will drop it, because I beleive speedometer malfunction is a 3 point MOVING violation. Yeah, what a load of ****. I am guessing they use "speedometer malfunction" as a translation for "He was speeding a lot faster but the DA reduced the ticket to this". If you actually HAVE a malfunctioning speedometer, then you're just screwed :( BTW usually when I drive I can just feel when it is the right speed , was this Escort really smooth compared to your other car or something perhaps?

Per the other thread, Im thinking Friday at Oscar's we rol in between 8-8:30 and then a little before 9pm we head over to the McDonalds to catch the tail end of their car show and the start of their festivities!

Nah it's not in the escort, it's in the mustang, it honestly didn't feel like i was going over 40, but it is a pretty straight road and a no passing zone (solid lines).
