Power adders come by Checkbook size

N/A your BROKE

Nitrous have some money

Blower had to Refi your house

Turbo you sued someone

So i'm a TURBO guy

Turbo: unending power, cheap and ez to build.
Blower: extra power, limited returns, expensive.
Nitrous: cheap and reliable like weather.
NA: not an option, remove from list :)

Think of a turbo like this: Imagine how efficient YOU would be if you could boost yourself off your own waste? lol

LOL, first time I have ever heard this. Nice. :rolf

LOL I hear ya.

As for the poll... It doesn't really ask what we are doing with the car. I have had turbocharged cars all of my life, and yet it was cheaper to make MORE power going turbo with the Lotus and yet I went N/A.

The right method really depends on what you are trying to do and there is no right answer, which is why all the methods exist.

In general for most of the street/drag strip guys out there (which is most of this site). Turbo is the way to go. It is the most efficient and while the most complex, offers the final user many potential power level outputs depending on what they want. So yea that is "the" way to make big power.

However there supercharging has its place, a slightly more simple version of forced induction which, while may not be *as* efficient as a turbo still makes very big power and is much easier to drive. Linear response, and great throttle response will help with big horsepower drag cars, and road racers/auto-xers alike.

Nitrous. How can you argue with cheap power? Typically doesn't lend itself well to the total power output of a turbo/supercharger, but it is simple and cheap. For someone who just wants a little boost every once in a while and doesn't want to spend much it fits the bill perfectly.

N/A. Simple, fairly inexpensive (of course unless you are trying to compete with a specific rule set), and has great throttle response, and great powerband (given its level of power). If N/A works for the power you want to put down, then use it. Its the most effective method.
