just got one last weekend fromn a friend. how do i change the name of the phone? it still has his wife's name on it has it being her phone. i really don't wanna do a full reset of the phone.

I can't even find where the name is displayed? Where are you finding Phone Name? I've had my 3GS for two years. Maybe I never named mine in the beginning, but I can't find any "name".

Google to the rescue...

On iTunes, where it shows the phone name, wait a few seconds after it loads and then simply DOUBLE CLICK the name. It will give you the option to RENAME via standard "Windows Style" editing.

i did a whole phone delete, now my itunes is messed up and i can't format phone. lol my itunes.exe is gone and won't let me uninstall and reinstall. this sucks.
