Reassure me that the car doesn't need to pass emissions. The Street legal part comes into play there.

Any car older than 20 or 25 years (check DMV website) doesn't require emissions.

Any car older than 20 or 25 years (check DMV website) doesn't require emissions.I don't know which DMV site you've been looking at but even my '83 that is 21 years old requires emmisions. Even hobbyist plates won't get around this unless I "find" a different adress in a non-IM county :crying

'68 and older is the deal . . .

1968 and older doesn't have to pass emissions...and if it's 20 years old or older it can be registered as either a collector plates (has to retain stock "appereance") or hobbyist (pretty much anything goes) but even those, if registered in a county that requires emissions testing, must pass the test when you get the plates, unless it has been less than one year after passing a previous test. Once you have passed the test, it never has to again however with either of the registrations.

Seeing as to how that is a 1967 model, there is nothing keeping it from being street legal.

I used Lebanon Wisconsin as my cars primary place of storage. No emmissions there and it only took 5 minutes to change. Well worth not having to go to the DMV.

Wow I stand corrected. I checked out their website and you're right. I can't imagine buying a 1969 car and having to go through emissions. You'd have to be shitting me.
