Hello all,

I'm wondering where the best place is to get a few parts rechromed that won't break the bank. Trying to build a car on a budget and am looking for nice driver quality rechroming (don't need show car.)
Also, i've heard about people powdercoating parts chrome... anyone have any experience with this?
Please let me know. As always thank you!

Go through Keystone Auto to get the bumper replated by Northstar, Absolute best and a lifetime guarantee.
After 28 years in the bodyshop business I can say that EVERYONE else is a crapshoot!
If you need help, I can have it picked up and run it through my shop.

If you want Powder, Charlie at Armour Coatings in Germantown is great. Doing his personal late '60s Camaro on a rotisserie, all powder. I've seen landscaping trailers roll out of his big oven. He can easily do a bumper.

I have tried 7 different "chrome" powders and none of them come close to comparing to what a normal chrome plating looks like.

^Any pics of the "chrome" powder coatings you have done? Thanks

I can take some but it is something that is easier seen in person to compare. Shinny objects and cameras never work out well
