With grilling season fast approaching I'll be needing some good brats!
So who has the good ones? I'm not talking commercial ones. I like Brossmans and have tried a few other local butchers with some good, some not so good.
Tell me who makes your favorites so I can try them too

I make my own homemade venison brats. More than welcome to come get a package of them.

I've always like the kewaskum beef's brats (there is one on the main drag of West Bend)

Also like Rupena's brats...but if you really want something good, get their Hungarian sausages...or get the hungarians in a patty like a burger. LOVE that...

To be honest though, love a good usinger's boiled in beer/onions/peppers AFTER grilling...or better yet, slow grilled, no boiling ;)

Danny's Meats in Caledonia. Never had a better brat in my life.
The mushroom swiss ones are godlike.

Split the brat down the middle and stuff it with a slice of bacon and a half a slice of pepper jack (or whatever) cheese. Grill and enjoy. Works with jumbo hotdogs too.

EDIT: Crap wrong brat thread...

Forgot the name of the place, but there is a store in Brownsville that has a wide variety of flavors and they are awesome

Karl's Meat Market - Silver Spring and Pilgrim. Tons of variety. Take them up North to the folks, worth the cooler and hassles.

Not local but Trig's (Northern WI Grocery chain) is supposed to have won some competition for best Brat in the country or world, something like that. A buddy of mine that has a cottage up around Elko swears by them. Maybe Coop's bro can chime in if he's ever tried them.
