I need a Ford factory stainless muffler (in my possession) hung and welded on my `88 Aerostar, also with factory stainless exhaust. This is a relatively easy job with plenty of space to work but requires a small amount of customizing/modifying. The weld must be solid and therefore I want a welder who is experienced welding stainless exhaust. I first thought of BCM's resident fabricator (Ron at COR) but the drive from Brookfield is a hour. Looking for a closer location if possible.....

being what it is (88 aerostar) i assume this is just a beater to get you through a year or two? if so just burn it together with a mig welder. it will contaminate the stainless, but should be fine for a few years before it rusts through

Ron your assumption is spot on, thanks for the advice......

I had a custom exhaust done last summer and I wanted to do stainless, but had trouble finding muffler shops that could do it. I ended up having it done by Brian at Milwaukee Motorwerks in Waukesha. Turned out pretty nice. http://www.milwaukeemotorwerks.com/
