What years were the radiator fans single speed?

I've heard a lot of people are using taurus fans for engine swaps and I have seen a guy use one in his 64 Cutlass and it fit the rad perfect but he didn't know what year it was from but it was a single speed. I guess the 2 speed would be ok but that's just more to mess with.:goof

I put a 2 speed on my Mustang. Only running the low speed and it works great.
It was 80* here today traffick was F'D!! went about 10 miles in bumper to bumper
1st gear. Never went Past the O in NORMAL on the temp gauge.

There is a way to hook it up using 3 relays so it will go from low to high at certain temps.

No problem. I was going to set mine up like that, but decided to just run a toggle with
(2) 40A relays. I think the high speed need a larger relay. It's not working right now
and the 40A fuse is good, the relay must be fried. Not sure how to check that though.

I also have a set of fans from a Contour. They are dual, what I had on my other
Mustang and never had a problem with those either. I picked both sets up at PAP
for less than $40 with a 30day warranty. With these I had planned on getting the
Painless on/off temp switches. One that comes on/off 195/170 and 210/195 ??

Either way they are both a great set of fans.
