Here's the deal, laid off for the winter other than plowing and I'm bored out of my mind!! I've got the 95 cobra in the garage with the heater and not alot of stuff I can think of doing that I havent done yet on a very tight budget.

Gimmie your ideas or say what you plan on doing this winter in your free time....

I think I'm going to take my wheels off and clean them and maybe do some more sanding on the bumper.

I've already
1. pulled bumper off and started sanding
2. Installed and wired RPM switch for shift light
3. Installed shift light
4. Degreed my cam
5. Reset the timing
6. Checked and reset valve lash
7. Removed axles, inspected
8. Replaced studs
9. New rear diff fluid
10. Radiator flush
11. Power steering flush
12. Oil change
I think that might be it.........can you tell im bored?

I don't know what kind of condition you keep your car in, but a good detail starting with wet sanding the deep scratches, then clay bar, polish and wax. The materials aren't expensive, but the machine is if you don't own one. You can good results by hand it just takes a long time and your arms will be jelly when you're done.

Unfortunately, you just named the one thing no matter how much time I have, I don't have the patience for......body work. It's like pulling teeth to me to sand on the front bumper alone! lol. Very good idea though. The car is deffinately not a show car.
I also don't know if I trust myself to do that. I would LOVE to do it to the mach 1, it has really bad orange peel. I know so very little about body work and buffing, or detailing as a whole for that matter, I think I would f*ck it up.

Here is last winters list of stuff I did, so I ruled all these out already too.

1. Rear upper and lower control arms
2. Wideband and digital gauge install
3. Rebuild carb.
4. Painted calipers
5. New brakes
6. New headlights
7. New rack and pinion
8. New shocks and struts
9. Rewired a few gauges and other things

Or............if anybody has some cash jobs or other ways to make money so I can buy more stuff to occupy my time........................:goof

remove the seats and give the car a good vacuum. maybe scrub out any stains in the carpet. clean up your seat tracks. they can be huge dust magnets.

Pull the brackets/bolts out of your engine bay that look less than spectacular and give em a good wire wheeling and paint if need be.
