Guy wants a low profile amber light bar pemenently installed/hardwired on an '11 silverado.

Does permanent mean drilling? Or secured to the roof rails? What setups are out there these days? Good vs bad brands?

Hey check out this web board call www.elightbars.org, they'll tell ya whats good out there.

Permanent requires drilling, a hook kit installs inside of the upper door jams, this requires no drilling.

Is he looking for a Mini lightbar or a 48 inch lightbar? Some Mini lightbars have the 80lb magnets on them.

full length LED light bars are best installed direct ( drilling ), jam mounts sit too high and look like poo

I think that is the future of light bars now... They are not even in production yet I don't think. But I'm going to guess that the price is going to be around 2K for a loaded bar.

I mounted mine to a stand that bolts to my bed. Sort of like a backrack.
