Saw the new Countryman S with an original on the roof today, you know, for size comparison.

Not as big as I thought the Countryman would be, especially considering the supposed increase over the Clubman. I hope they build another truck version though :rolf. While the bloat compared to the original is nothing to scoff at, at least they finally made one that's AWD.

That's the 2nd one I've seen with the original Mini on top (well, pictures of anyway). There's also a red one with a white Mini... now where is that picture...

I would love an original Mini :D

Found the pic:

EDIT: Notice the license plates on the old Mini are the same... hmmm publicity stunt?

EDIT again: I still want an old Mini...

pretty cool....a guy I work with has a Mini Cooper S and was interested in these....too bad they only have 181hp to counteract that weight gain...lol

I saw in a C&D article that they estimated 34-35hwy mpg for the base one? If so, then when the time comes, this would be a strong contender for a replacement vehicle...

The plates on the new mini are the same too, probably a dealer owned car trying to drum up biznazz.

I want an original mini with the new sportsman's drivetrain. Supercharged AWD in that little thing :D

We tested a Mini a couple years ago where I used to work. I was amazed at the lack of backseat legroom.

I've got a clubman and there's plenty of leg room in back. The thing is great Turbocharged run on 87 and get 40mpg on the hwy, 25 around town.

All I'd want in a mini is a normal / useful gauge cluster.

Giant speedo clock looking thing in the middle is dumb. Ruins the fun driving experience for me.

It's 50mph o'clock?

I'd be happy if they limited it to a Mini-Sport edition that drivers would buy, not for appliance passengers.

Turbo S model is less, and by the time you get to the awd I think its at 30-31 or so, still not bad. I've driven a bunch of Cooper S's both older supercharged ones and newer turbo ones and gotta say I like the way they drive.
