This evening, the Lovely Lori and I went to the new QS&L. First thing I notice is the door handles are gas pump fillers...cool. Entering, they have a few coin op games where you can try and get prizes by snipping the string the prizes are attached to. After two tries at getting a Magellan GPS unit, I gave up. A hostess led us to the dining area which features a red Corvette on a Back Yard Buddy portable lift. Great chance to view the underside of a Corvette! A couple of fathers were showing their young sons the bits and pieces of the chassis. Various car and bike bits are attached to the walls along with other automobilia and ephemera. As I was led to a table, I was rather taken aback at the cheap green plastic outside chairs they are using in the dining room. Even most fast food joints have better seating. I opted for a booth as that seating was of more substantial stuff. On to the eats. Lori ordered the Shrimp and some Chili. The shrimp were of adequate size and deep fried. The chili comes with steak burger bits, cheddar-jack cheese, sour cream, jalapeno and tortilla chips and a fresh salsa. Her meal came with fries as well and the house made cole slaw looked to be very fresh and not the usual runny bland stuff you get elsewhere. I ordered the half rack of baby back ribs and the cinnamon apples. I opted for the basic BBQ sauce which is not overtly spicy and is sweet with a hickory taste. The ribs themselves are very good. They did not have the "frozen and reheated taste that I find at other rib establishment. The meat was very tender and falling off the bone. The little bowl of Cinnamon Apple was a nice diversion from the usual sides. Warm chunks of apple in a cinnamon sauce...recommended. I tried Lori's fries (she's dieting) and they are good, not dried out but not soggy or greasy. I can't wait to try more menu items. Drinks were Diet Pepsis. They serve alcoholic libations as well. On the Pepsi stuff, they carry Pepsi products, but not Diet Mountain Dew which would have been Lori's first choice. She also had a cup of coffee after dinner. Bill came to just under $35. Menu is heavy into wings, ribs, burgers, steak, and they have several salads and a couple of soups to try. I really want to taste the Bourbon Baked Beans they have.
QS&L will also be having a Wednesday night bike night and a Thursday night Car Cruise night featuring live music. Although the menu leans toward the above mentioned pub style food, the menu has a lot of variety in it to keep the most serious gourmand interested. The most interesting aspect of the restaurant is the choice of BBQ sauces. Many different varieties from the basic sweet hickory sauce to all out 500,000 Scoville Heat Units Triple Atomic Sauce which you have to sign a waiver for. Anyone want to see if your taste buds have what it takes?

all you can eat wing are tuesday nights....just got back from there, I had the med wing w/ loading fries..asked how many wing came with the combo, guy asks girl and told me 8 wings,order arrives with 5 wings, manager stops by and asks how dinner was and told him this. he brings me 3 more wings and tells me it should of had 5 wings..waiter apoligizes for the mistake and tells me its his first day...o well still gave him the normal 20% tip

The Triple Atomic wings aren't bad; at least they weren't at the one in Middleton. Their challenge was six wings, unlimited time, and they let you use sauces (ranch/bleu cheese). You'll have to let me know how it goes, because I almost think they must have given us the wrong sauce in Middleton. We all thought the regular Atomic wings were hotter...

Luckily we came up with the idea to order these kind of wings at the end, when we are done enjoying the rest of our wings. It's not good to start with wings liek that because they just ruin your night. lol.

they have permission to use the park and ride lot. they will be using the lot for there bike/ car nights they also are having band nights and what not so they are gana need that space lol. we got a lube tube last night. $13 for 100 oz. of any beer you choose. it was $5 off last night or something. had a gto burger and we all got the 4 wheeler or what ever appatizer. i like the place. Our waiter told us that they had been going thru a keg an hour last night. place is hoppin hope it stays. would be a lot closer for me.

Went again last night, called at 235pm for a call head at 7, we get there and they lost the call or something and im not on the list. I showed them my phone from the call log and said i called wait wast 90min at that time. The manager came up to me 20 min later and had me a table and gave us a free 4-wheeler and a lube tube. Had the breaded boneless wings(not impressed) but everyone else had burgers and where very pleased i still like that el camino burger so far.

So I had this big elaborate plan for Tue to go there with like 10-15 people to do an official review. I was going to bring the video guy from my work and shoot a video and the whole nine. I talked to the General Manager and asked him for permission and he was cool with the idea. He knew about our site already and had read our previous review. He told me they are still working out some kinks and what-not. I gave him some stickers. Everything was all good.

And now we're supposed to get like 800" of snow and the worst of it Tue night.

I'm going to call him and reschedule for next Tue I think. Gonna keep an eye on the weather today.
