his HP goal is 2k .

Everything is custom and machined from exotic metals. Beryllium, Titanium (the crank is made of it!), copper-beryllium valve seats!

the crank itself cost around $31,000!!

WOW! :wooo nice stuff there...

Can't believe that little clutch is able to handle 2k hp.

Pretty cool stuff. However, goals are one thing, achieving them is another. That turbo is huge. How does he plan on spooling it? Is that some sort of giant 4 cylinder? Also, I highly doubt that clutch will hold that much power unless the vehicle it's driving weighs about 11 pounds...

definately neat stuff, not sure i could justify a 30k crankshaft.

Very cool...I think the most exotic I'd ever consider would be Titanium connecting rods and a AL block/heads, lol.

I can think of much cheaper ways to make 2000hp, that's for sure!

that clutch almost looks to be 3 or 4 disc or something odd....

i dont know the specifics... but i will try and find out.

yikes, solid billet 4g63t? damn.

Definately ways of getting 2k easier, but there is a definate cool factor. I'm guessing this isn't just a pet project of a local enthusiast?

If I spent $31k on a crank I'd charge money to look at the pics! Cool to look at for free though. :)

if you look at one of the photos... there are euros on the table, dont think its local.

WOW! That guy is loaded, and obviously does this for sport. I'm anxious to see the end result with the 4 cylinder.

This explains the senseless throwing of money at something. :goof

Seriously though, that's pretty cool, I like the design on those con rods.

As easily it is to mistake the build for his, its someone else from another forum, but interesting all the same! I want to see the final product.

Disregard. Its a car shop in Greece that built the car, they specialize in engine parts I guess. and it a Mitsu EVO. I was bored I went through the thread, 35 pages!!! Typical flaming and crap talking, but its looks like the were only able to pull out 1200hp @35 psi, but only because of blah blah do to blah blah, it could make much more. Lots of figures, and numbers and junk...

2k is major hp... Maybe they'll have better luck in the future.

Jesus how long does it take that thing to spool? Or at what RPM does it hit 35psi??

GHOSST

Oh wait, customer car with 35psi, the shops car is an Evo8 1416hp at 57psi.. tons of figures and numbers...

That's fucking bad ass. Who made that custom turbo? Is that a local guy who owns this car? There's a company that is making a 2JZ billet block and cylinder head. It's not going to be cheap. I love when people go with engine builds like this.

I really hope with all the R&D into that block, it would at least be a 3.0 liter. If not it's a waste. Cool factor for sure.

35 page thread, lol. Its a speed shop in Greece, Athens I believe. They seem to be more experimenting for big HP than to actually put it to the ground. They have tons of figures but no time slips..

they say they are an engine building shop. All they do is make engines that make power. It's someone elses job to make it put it to the pavement. Cool build but way too much money spent on a car.

I thought I remembered seeing them put down a 10- or 9-second pass with that car, or a very similar one, but I can't remember for sure. Either way, it's clear they're just shooting for horsepower and not times

Very impractical , but still really cool to see!

By the PICs they are not just shooting for high HP but screaming fast and higher RPMs, the clutch being so small will keep the mass in line with the center of the crank, con-rod pins are crazy weight saving like the pistons.

Those injectors are crazy, 9000cc! The block is enough to make me get wet.
