Will be sad to see it go. What will you do with all the extra money not being poured into a money pit known as a car? :rolf

Why'd you sell it?

Where'd you have it listed?

It was just time to move on. Got tired of never really having time to use it, and always wanting to dump more money into it. Essentially I just grew out of it. I'll be able to pay off some debt, instead of just shuffling the deck of cards so to speak.

Not to say that tomorrow won't still be really hard on me. I invested way too much time and effort into that thing.

I've had it for sale a couple places, but it sold off of www.classiccars.com Got less then I hoped for, but I never got even an offer all last year. So the market is what it is.

Atleast it is for me.

That sucks, i've done it twice. My 79' and 95' camaros. I was bored with them at the time but now i really wish they were still around. I suppose i am driving a Honda civic with 138 ft-lbs of torque, yeah it's probably that, LOL

Sorry to see it go, I've seen it at a few shows over the years. Definitley one of the nicest 3rd gen f-bodies I've seen in person.

I wouldn't drive it in the salt either but if it's the only time as the guy is driving it to a non salty area, eh, he can wash it off once home and not worry about it again. Buying a car thats driveable makes alot of sense to drive back home, makes buying it more memorable and you "get to know it" right away pretty well. Plus road trips can be kinda fun. Glad I did my one out of state/region car purchase that way.

Its hard guy, I teared up and got choked up when I had 9 years into my 69 Bu and did everything to it, and loaded it on the trailer for the guy.

Do I miss the car?....Yeah...But theres other things that you can do with the money and if you decide to pick up another you know what you wanna do and do it right and save you money in the long run.

Honestly, I've not had any regrets at all so far. Which confirms it was the right decision. I think I outgrew the car or maybe even the hobby right now. We'll see when spring rolls around, that will be the true test. But for now, it hasn't been nearly the big deal I expected it to be.

I know exactly how you feel Brandon. I owned my '72 Chevelle for ten years (sold 2.5 years ago) and everybody told me how much I would miss/regret selling. The time to move on to something else or nothing was beyond long overdue and selling was actually a huge relief. I was literally joyous watching the transporter drive away knowing the Chevelle was headed to AUSTRALIA never to be seen again in person by my eyes. Part of me does miss it but that part is very small, probably the part that enjoyed taking pictures.....

^ that Chevelle was killer!! The thing that frustrates me with cars sometimes is the huge amount of money they seem to suck up. I can never leave stuff alone and won't buy junk parts so it always costs me a fortune to build/mod any car I own. I sold my Subaru to extinguish a growing urge to take the car to the next level while owning my Biscayne also. Ultimately if you decide to enjoy a car, throw parts at it etc it has to be done with fun money as a hobby and that's it. Like any sport, hobby, water color painting, whatever...if you don't appreciate it as a hobby anymore it's time throw in the towel. I could never own a car for an investment either like some collectors do. It's a car, drive it. Someday Brandon might want to get another money pit but I can't totally understand why he chose to get out too. If you are bored or over it, why keep it. Good luck man!

Even better!

Sold a car a couple years ago that was heading down to NC. New owner (friend) and his fiance hit a couch at 10 p.m. on the Chicago Skyway. A couch.

That wasn't a fun phone call, but luckily had a spare car to trailer to Chicago to get them home and took the crashed car back to WI.
