The show I hate is on....laughing enough to make up for past horrible shows :)

Premise is the three boobs buy Craigslist trucks sight unseen and travel alaska, like a couple grand spending limit its pretty funny.

Of course the only Ford they can afford is 34 years old, although somehow they can afford a 97 Ram with huge offroad tires...........odd.

Some of them have clearly never offroaded before or have no common sense. :stare

Because Dodges suck worse than ford, but the ford brakes first.

Or the obvious reason, there is no such thing as a running 34 year old Dodge truck.

Everthing from those guys possibly building those lean-to's bye themselves overnight or even making it as far as they have with no pre trip shakedown but it is stupidly funny I think....I've owned all those trucks over the years!

He could have gotten a much newer Dodge Ram for $3000. I think he got ripped off. That Ford was a classic lol

Honestly it's no different then the brits. I think they are funny because of their on air chemistry and their voices. I kind of like the american one. But thats just me I guess. I used to think the early versions of bbc were pretty retarded.

I found the full episode on StreetFire w/o commercials!

http://www.streetfire.net/video/top-gear-usa-s01e09-season-1-episode-9_2190241.htm

I think the show has some good camerawork going for it. I also think that the performance of the characters is on par with the BBC Top Gear for a first season comparison.

If that guy driving the Ford wasn't a RETARD, it would have been just fine. Driving up a hill at 40 with boulders is a bad idea with 20 year old u-joints.

How that comparison was fair is beyond me! Who know how the 30 year old trucks have been maintained. Any vehicle Taner is driving will always have a huge advantage! Besides him the show is joke!

Lol, don't take it so seriously. It's meant to be entertaining, not really a true comparison.

I really liked the episode. The show has been getting better and better as it works its way through the season. The only thing it's missing is the real chemistry between the hosts, but it's definitely becoming more apparent, especially in the toughest truck special.

I have yet to watch a single episode on TV, just watch them all on streetfire, quality is good enough, no commercials and they're always on there the day after.

I have a mint condition, perfectly running and driving 1975 Plymouth Trailduster (Dodge Ramcharger) that I use all summer to tow my car and atv trailer that would prove otherwise...

Yeah its pretty funny - its not worth much since its a 75 Trailduster but I've often told people I will never sell it and would sell Challengers Chargers etc. first since the Trailduster is irreplacable.

I can find another Challenger or Charger or Viper in 5 mins on Ebay or Craigslist, but its been years since I've seen another Trailduster as nice, or even many Ramchargers. Most of them rusted to nothing or ended up crushed since trucks were never worth anything like the musclecars were. Add the fact that its a numbers matching Sport 4x4 with a 440, cruise, AC, extended gas tank, skid plates, you name it pretty much every option and I doubt I could ever find a replacement lol.

Have a 5.2 Magnum MPFI swap on hand ready to go, no carbs to tune yearly!
So it will be rusty and run to hopefully make 32yrs old :)

The toyota was the best truck of that episode.

And they ripped the hell out of that poor truck!

I've only caught 2 episodes, and both had several laughs, but out of their pure stupidity, and mostly on how they poke fun at Rutledge. I do believe Tanner Foust has the unfair advantage, and where does the comedian fall into all this??? It should be 3 race car drivers or car enthusiast...and a mystery character, haha

I didn't want to be the one to say it. So thanks! Funny thing with that Toyota is that I'm willing to bet it was a local truck. BUT I don't know if they laid over sound bits cuz that toyota sounded like it had a V8. I would like to know the stats of that truck. In any case, if we are choosing 2011 1/2 ton trucks I would take a Tundra ALL DAY! I've seen all three American trucks from 94 - 08 being used as all purpose as well as plow trucks and I never was impressed. Unill my good friend got his hands on a 2010 Tundra fitted with a western plow blade and at that time i realized how shitty "those" other trucks really are. For those who will complain about the model years I will say this , my old bosses F150 (2009) couldn't touch the Tundra , in every aspect.
