Went to the UP this weekend to do some backwoods riding. The snow was deeper than balls in some areas (literally), you would sink up to your chest if you stepped off the sled. It was a struggle just to try and walk in it lol.

Backwoods riding is great until you get stuck, it ain't as easy as it looks.
I was on a long track mountain sled and still managed to get stuck a few times. The sled gets really heavy when it's buried in deep snow, time to take off the helmet and dig it out.

This is John Dees driveway Saturday morning before the ride, we had 11 sleds go out that day.

Some of you might know John, he was nice enough to offer me a bed and a sled. Great weekend thanks to him.

I go to his site almost every day too, he's the only guy I trust with winter weather forecasts.

It's funny he's like a rock star up there, everywhere we go people recognize him. He enjoys meeting the JD.com members.

I hear ya. Having a sled makes days like today very welcome.

I was up in the UP 2 weeks ago and the snow was crazy up there!!! We were in Hancock MI by two rivers and the snow in the powerlines were 3 1/2ft deep! Good stuff, nice pics!

The power lines were a blast!
I was coming up on a nice little jump and found a stump under the snow, it bucks me off and puts the sled on its lid, pointing up a hill. I was fukked I couldn't roll it back over being on the incline, had to flag down one of the guys for help..:goof
