1998 K1500 flash program

The PCM is going to be replaced and I need to know if theres a program to re-flash the new computer of I will be at the mercy of the stealership.

I know guys that have just put junk yard ones in and trucks worked. I know when I did my tuned pcm swap in my regal there is a relearn procedure that you can do yourself to make car/pcm sync.
