I really like the brick product you applied to the front of the bar. What is it and do you apply it similar to tile? I think your whole room looks great nice work!

Looks great. So you were one of the few who got to see Foose that day too? Have the same pic. And you're gettin' low on Cuervo.

They are plastic panels from Faux panels. They were really easy to install, way less expensive than real stone and look-feel like the real thing.

Here is the website

I agree with J. Even though the brick is fake it still looks like the real deal in the picture. I also like your idea of putting lighting on the underside of the bar top to show off the brick. Turned out nice.

Room looks big from the stairs, nice layout.

I'd put up something soft behind the dart board or you will be breaking tips like crazy.

I'm seriously effin jealous. These are the things that bum me out about selling my house and moving to a condo with no space to do something like this.

My only comment about the bar is your knees will hit the bar wall while seated at the bar. I'd prefer a bit of table top overhang towards the bar stools. Makes things a bit more comfortable. Something to lean into.

nice looking job though. I like the lighting to added on the bar counter top.

You are totally right on that. That is the one thing that everyone mentioned while having drink at the bar. But for now it will have to do, I don’t see myself throwing any more money in the project. Maybe down the road I’ll get a new counter top and put new carpet down.

I was just totaling up the expenses of the whole project and came to over $800. Not bad. Most of it was the tile, but surprisingly everything adds up in the end. All in all it was a fun project and worth it, seeing that we never went down there, and now we like to have dinner at the bar every once and a while.

Thank you for the comments everyone!:thumbsup

looks good. you could always add an armrest to the front which would give you a 5" overhang which is better then nothing.

Just finished a couple of little things to my MAN CAVE. Added new carpet and plank flooring around my bar. Night and Day compared to the junk carpet I had before and my first timer tile job had to go. On top of that my house is now asbestos free since I ripped out (properly) the entire tile that was original placed back when the house was built many moons ago.

One of the additions is an X-Tension Arcade cabinet with an X-Arcade controller. I have a monthly subscription to Console Classics with over 10,000 games on a dozen or so consoles from the past. Makes parties a lot more fun.

Anyways this should be the last of the updates other than my beer bottle cap collection getting framed...that will be a lot of drinking over the years!
