I'm pretty sure it well not fit and be a huge PITA... but does someone want to get my hopes up and show me a picture of a snowmobile in the bed of a ranger? Its a 97 ranger extended cab 6' bed. Tailgate down adds and extra 18". Weight is not an issue.

The problem is, I can fit/store a snowmobile, but not the trailer also. hah.

I got mine in the back of my Sonoma back when I had it. It was tight with the skis kind of half on the wheel wells and half in the bed up front. I lifted the back of it up and put the tailgate up so it was sitting on it. It didn't go anywhere when I transported it.

I tied the trailing arms to the hooks in the front of the bed and back bumper to back bumper.

This, however, looks a little scary (long track sled):

had my 91 yamaha in the back of my 92 ranger. NO tailgate. put it in ass end first and the ski's out the back. put a couple straps on it to keep it from going anywhere.. worked just fine.

I stuffed my sled in the back of my Crew Cab S10 with a 4' bed. Had to put it in backwards because the skis didn't fit between the wheel wells and pretty much every thing from the skis out was sticking out of the back of the truck. Strapped it down really good and it made it all the way to the dells and back.

I'm sure it looked crazy as hell though going down the freeway, lol.

No problem in a 6' bed, some people put the tailgate up and put the track on there. Most people i know that do this don't even strap it down. I would to be safe though.

On the other hand i have heard of people cracking the rails from putting that point load on them for a long period of time.

I wasn't going far and I had the cover on it and strapped down as well.
